Al-Hurra TV, May 3, Iraq -- The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said he has met with several of armed groups of Iraq.

"The new government of Iraq will be able to overcome terrorism within one year." Talabani stressed.

"I have met with a number of leaders of what is called, the National Resistance. Most of these leaders are brothers from the Sunni faith. They did not support Saddam or Zarqawi. These leaders believe that they represent an absolute majority of the armed men of the Resistance. There has been a major change in their mentality. They believe that America is not their main enemy, but they sense danger from what they call the Iranian threat.", Jalal Talabani said.
